DAN PATRICK: Once you got to the beach, was the shoot harder or easier than you thought it would be?

DANICA PATRICK: It was easier. Once I got there, I kinda said, 'You know what? I've done as much work as I can to prepare myself for this. Now just let it go and rock what you got.'

DAN: I was surprised that you didn't have advertising on your body during the shoot.

DANICA: Well, I suppose we could have done one of those shoots where they paint the girls. I could have painted a big Motorola on my chest.

DAN: Would you have been willing to be bodypainted?

DANICA: They do such a tasteful job with it, and it's so cool. I probably would have said yeah. I think anything for [this] issue you would say yes.

DAN: Which driver would you not want to see in a swimsuit?

DANICA: [Sighs.] Can I pick who I would want to see in a swimsuit?

DAN: See, I knew you would do that. OK, then. Who would you want to see in a Speedo?

DANICA: My teammate Tony Kanaan -- he's got a pretty rocking body. He's ripped.

DAN: Anybody else?

DANICA: Helio Castroneves has a pretty good body. He's not as buff as Tony Kanaan, but he is lean.

DAN: When the issue comes out, how do you think the guys at the track are going to be talking about you?

DANICA: I've bared some skin before, but nothing like in this issue. I would imagine my teammates will pick on me a little bit.

DAN: You don't think anybody will have your pictures up in their garage?

DANICA: I think I'm going to hear stories about people having pictures up in their garage. Maybe the mechanics. The drivers? I don't think that they would want me to find that out.

DAN: How are you with nudity?

DANICA: I don't think I should be [photographed] nude ... ever. You have to draw the line somewhere. I don't see myself ever wearing less clothing than a swimsuit.

DAN: Have you worn a swimsuit underneath your suit while racing?

DANICA: [Pause.] Not quite.

DAN: What have you worn underneath the suit?

DANICA: [Laughs.]

DAN: Have you gone naked under the suit?

DANICA: Well, uh, kind of.

DAN: So, no underwear in the race suit?

DANICA: Yeah, well, you know ... they get in the way.

DAN: You go commando?

DANICA: I don't know. Maybe we shouldn't talk about that.

DAN: Do you wear makeup on race day?

DANICA: No.

DAN: I don't believe you. Anybody else who might wear makeup in the IndyCar Series?

DANICA: Helio might wear makeup.

DAN: You're right. But he would admit that. He would love that.

DANICA: And Dan Wheldon might wear makeup too.

DAN: Ohhhhhh, there you go. I want to be there when Wheldon opens up the issue. If you could just get the thought bubble above Wheldon when he opens the issue, it would be ...

DANICA: He would probably have some fake British smile. Have you seen [my pictures]?

DAN: Yes!

DANICA: Well, why haven't I seen [them]?

DAN: I'm sorry. I work for Sports Illustrated and ...

DANICA: Am I on the cover? [Laughs.]

DAN: I didn't see you on the cover.

DANICA: Dammit. [Laughs.]

DAN: I saw one where you are topless.

DANICA: Oh, s---.

DAN: You should be very proud of [the shoot]. You look like you worked out. You looked almost as ripped as Helio Castroneves.

DANICA: Awwwwwww, thank you. Is there a pullout?

DAN: Uh, no ... Why, do you want a Playboy-centerfold type of thing? It sounds like you wanted a centerfold here.

DANICA: Heck, yeah
