Danielle Christine Fishel was born
in Mesa, Arizona and moved with her family to California
when she was only three weeks old. She has resided there
ever since. Raised by her father Rick a medical equipment sales executive
and Jennifer, (Mother) manages Danielle's career, in Yorba
Linda, California.
She found her passion for acting
by performing in community plays. Danielle performed in
two theater productions, The Wizard of Oz and Peter Pan as a child.
She has been acting professionally ever since she was 10 years
old, she
made many TV guest appearances and commercials. Her
first audition was for a Barbie doll commercial when she
was 10 and she ended up being the Barbie Mattel girl for
over a year.
Danielle got her first break in acting
came when she landed a recurring role on the hit TV show, Full
House, guest starring as "Jennifer". This
led to a bigger break starting with a guest role as"Topanga Lawrence" in the
hit TV show, Boy
Meets World.
Danielle added a huge spark to the show and they added
her as a regular cast member shortly after. She plays Topanga
Lawrence on the show, the girlfriend of Cory Matthews.
She immediately signed with a talent agent and went on to
do several commercials and voice-overs. She has also made
guest appearances on the TV series Harry and the Hendersons,
as "Jessica" and on the TV show Kirk as "Heather".
Danielle joined the Boy
Meets World cast in 1993 as "Topanga", the
girlfriend of Cory Matthews. Boy
Meets World ran for 7 seasons from 1993-2000
The
show has brought Danielle lots of attention even landing her
face on the cover of Seventeen Magazine. She was voted as
one of Teen People's magazine hottest stars under the age
of 21. She graduated from high school in 1999 and
has written her own column in 16 Magazine titled Danielle's
Diary. The column covers celebrity interviews, a behind
the scenes look at kids in show biz, answers to frequently
asked questions by fans and much more. Danielle had maintained
the #1 position for Favorite TV Actress in 16 Magazine's
Monthly Readers Survey for over a year.
Danielle
dated her co-star Matthew Lawrence during the "Boy
Meets World" series and dated Lance Bass of
*Nsync for a short time. She attended high school (Calabasas
HS) prom with Lance Bass. During "Boy
Meets World's" last season, Danielle made her film
debut in the movie "Jack of all Trades" aka "Longshot". Now that
Boy Meets World has ended, Danielle will get the chance
to take classes at UCLA where she would love to study psychology.
Danielle donates much of her time
doing charity work for organizations which benefit critically,
chronically, and terminally ill children. She also participated
in the 1994 Sail With the Stars Cruise which raised thousands
of dollars for Juvenile Diabetes. In her free time, Danielle
enjoys doing various activities which include skiing, roller
blading, snowboarding, surfing, playing with her various
animals and pets, hanging out with friends, shopping, and
reading.
More
recently she says she is reading scripts and is excited about the
possibilities, as are we all. Her ultimate acting job would
be starring in a feature film playing a dramatic role.
Danielle
has appeared in several cameo movie roles in the last few
years. In 2000 she was in the little seen movie Longshot
playing character Gloria. The best role being a
movie
scene in National
Lampoon Presents Dorm Daze (2003) and she will appear
in "Dorm Days 2" (2006). That same year she is
seen in a "Yes, Dear" TV episode as a sorority
girl "Katie." In 2004 she has a (voice) role in
the feature film "The Chosen One" and is a new
Co-Host of "Sports Corner", a sports oriented
radio show heard daily on the Cable Radio Network or at www.sportsgamingradio.com
In 2006, Fishel became the spokeswoman for NutriSystem after she announced on The Tyra Banks show that she wanted the job. She was so thrilled about losing over 20 pounds with the diet program that she gives a live tesimonial on the Tyra Bank's Show. At the close of 2007 Danielle Fishel was arrested for DUI in Los Angeles just before 5 a.m.
December 20th 2007. The bad press didn't help the 26 year olds career. Fishel was released from jail shortly after her arrest. However to make matters worse Danielle pulls "A Dumb Blonde" act of stupidity. She failed to show for a hearing in her DUI case and a warrant was later issued for her arrest. Danielle finally went before a judge and bawled her eyes out for missing her court date in her DUI case. Apparently her brilliant legal strategy works and luckily her probation was reinstated. You think this all could have been avoided if she just drank more and fell into someones car for a ride on the way home. Go figure maybe LAPD loves the "celebrity gets busted" routine way too much these days.
FACTS
Hobbies: reading, chatting online with her fans, snowboarding,
skiing, surfing, and playing football with the boys. (What
boys? Any old group of boys!) The Dallas Cowboys and the
Green Bay Packers are her favorite football teams.
Danielle does not drink, smoke, or do drugs.
Favorite candy: Starbursts and Skittles

Even though she's over the crush, she still thinks
he's a talented actor and would love to work with him.

Instead of eating it hot, she'll put in in the
freezer until it's cold.
Danielle always did her own hair for BMW.
