Julianna Margulies apologises to the women of Ireland

Julianna Margulies says she's worried every woman in Ireland will be jealous of her.

The ER star is currently filming Evelyn with Pierce Brosnan, Stephen Rea and Aidan Quinn.

The film is based on the true story of a custody battle in Ireland.

Desmond Doyle fought the Irish government and the Catholic Church to overturn a custody law and get custody of his four children, after his wife left him and he lost his job.

Margulies, who is best known for her role as Carol Hathaway in ER, revealed her character becomes involved in a love triangle with Brosnan and Quinn.

"It is a love story that turns into a love triangle. Choosing between Aidan Quinn and Pierce Brosnan is my biggest problem. I'm sorry if every women in Ireland is jealous of me now. But, I'll give them back after," she tells www.showbizireland.com.

Margulies also revealed some details about her character in the film.

"My character is called Bernadette and she is a sort of feisty woman that sets Pierce's character on the straight and narrow path," she said.

"She gets him to stop drinking and gets him going in the right direction."
