Lisa
Robin Kelly was born in 1975 in Southington, Conneticutt.
She was raised in Toledo, Ohio & is a fan of the Toledo
Mudhens. She was a cheerleader in high school (woof). Her
earliest theatrical exposure was that of musicals (she's
a big fan of Annie & Julie Andrews). It was there in
front of an audience that she began her acting career at
the age of 7. She's hoping those years of experience will
earn her an Acamedy Award.
Lisa listens
to Nirvana, Jimi Hendrix, Billie Holiday, Jewel and Alanis
Morisette. She hates messy men & cheesy pick-up lines.
She describes herself as "awesome"! Her
favorite actress is Meg Ryan. Her
hobbies include tennis & rockclimbing (her highest point=
5.10).
Lisa's
big break came with a role in the FOX TV Show "Married...
with Children" (1992) at 17 years old, playing "Carol"
in episode: "Kelly Doesn't Live Here Anymore"
This opened up many doors for Lisa next appearing on TV's
"Murphy Brown" 1993, "Silk Stockings"
1994, "Renegade" in 1994, "The X Files"
in 1996 and many other guest tv appearances including the
daytime soap opera "Days of our Lives" in 1993
at 18 years old. She was offered her first TV Movie role
in "The Donna Yaklich Story" in 1994... aka Victim
of Rage. Her 1st feature film was the straight to video
release Amityville:
Dollhouse in (1997) playing "Dana". This was
the 8th movie in the Amityville horror series.
She
gained real attention when she was cast on another FOX TV
hit "That 70s Show" in 1998. The show was almost
an instant success in 1999. She claims she relates to her
TV character Laurie Forman pretty well being a promiscuous
flirty daddy's girl & fighting with her younger brother.
She loves the '70s; if it were possible and she confesses
she would go back in time to that decade if she could. She
was excited to wear all the groovy clothes & still listens
to '70s music (her theme song- "I Will Survive")
but admits her hairstyle is annoying outside the set!
The new success of the show brought
many new opportunities to Miss Kelly in the TV movie Young
Hearts Unlimited in (1998),a small role as a Cheerleader
in Jawbreaker
(1999) Lisa also appears in the movie Late
Last Night (1999) a comedy with extensive drug-related
content, and loaded with sexuality and language now availible
on DVD.
In 2000 news from "That
70s Show" was that Lisa had a supposed drug/alcohol
problem. This began as a rumor and inevitably had stalled
her career so to speak in 2001. Eventually she is fired
from the FOX TV show for undisclosed reasons. In 2002 Lisa returned to "That
70s Show" but, In 2003 she left the show once again stating
that she wanted to pursue other projects. Her character
on the show is officially replaced with Christina Moore
in the 2003 season. It didn't matter anyway the show is
set to air it's last season in 2005. She was a great character
on the show and it was never the same after her departure. After 8 years "That
70s Show" ended in 2006.
Since
Lisa left the show she appeared in the TV movie Alikes in
(2002) as "Krystal". Of course now she has a reputation
in Hollywood which is completely undeserved. After all no
one in Hollwood has a a drug/alcohol problem. Today even the accusation maybe enough to slander someone's reputation. Lisa's last known project was in the film "The
Food Chain: A Hollywood Scarytale" (2005) Let's hope we see her working again soon.
