Danica
McKellar was born January 3, 1975 in La Jolla, California,
She has a sister a year younger named Crystal McKellar.
Together with her younger sister they began acting at a
young age in her mother's dance studio. In 1982 the family
moved to Los Angeles and a few years later she appeared
in her first commercial. The sisters had always had a friendly
little competition as to who would get the most acting jobs.
Later Danica sets herself apart as she made a few guest
appearances in "The Twilight Zone" (1985).
The McKellar sisters of course always had good grades
in school and were both straight A students. Danica excelled
in math and French, in her spare time she likes to go skiing,
swimming and surfing.
Her 1988 breakthrough role in "The
Wonder Years" TV Series came when Danica turrned
13 years old. She became well known as America's alluring
dream girl from her days as Winnie Cooper on TV's "The
Wonder Years," over the 1989-1992 seasons even
Danica's younger sister Crystal appeared in 10 episodes.
The show ran for 5 seasons eventually
ending in 1993. The show featured a young winnie and kevin's
on and off again relationship.
Even today she is very close
to former "The Wonder Years" co-star. In
real life during the series Danica had a huge crush on co-star
Fred Savage.
The
two had a more than just a friendly relationship during
the show's run.
During the series run Danica's voice
is heard on the cartoon series "Captain
Planet and the Planeteers" in 1990. Dreamgirl
Winnie Cooper turned Danica into her first TV movie role
in Camp
Cucamonga in (1990) as cutie camper Lindsey Scott. This
movie also stars a young then unknown Jennifer
Aniston.
Danica later appears in a small role in the Chuck Norris
film Sidekicks
(1992) as Lauren.
After the "The
Wonder Years" ended in 1992, 17 year old Danica
went on to live as a relatively normal teenager. Turning
away from acting she attends UCLA. Instead she focuses on
academics after she graduates from highschool. Danica goes
on to impressively study Mathmatics at UCLA, majoring in
mathematics, and graduated summa cum laude in 1998. Of course
while attending school she
was a member of the famed Alpha Chi chapter of Alpha Delta
Pi sorority at UCLA.
Before graduating with only a BA from
UCLA she co-authored a scientific paper which appeared in
a peer-reviewed physics journal. The
new math theorem that now bears her name, (The Chayes-McKellar-Winn
Theorem) refers to magnetism and predicting how
magnetic fields attract and align
in two dimensions.
Natural flashes of genius in mathmatics are remarkable considering
this is work is usually left for graduate students studying
for a master's or a PHD degree. Danica uniquely even provides
free online math tutoring for her fans at her official internet
website. SEEN

Since
returning to acting basically in 2000 at 25 years old Danica's
natural young look allows her to play 19 year old roles
easily. She admits that Math as a career is way too lonely
and boring for her to consider her career. Instead she calls
up an agent and very soon she is heard on the cartoon TV
Series "Static
Shock" on saturday morning cartoons. Danica next
became familiar again to audiences from her year-long turn
as the sardonic, dry-witted Elsie Snuffin on "The West
Wing" in its 4th season. Now cancelled in season 5.
Since Danica has made guest appearances on shows such as
"NYPD Blue," "Jack & Bobby," "Eve,"
"NCIS," and she played a strung-out heroine addict
on Lifetime's "Strong Medicine."
Danica
got her feet wet as a filmmaker with her award winning short
film "Speechless..." (co-starring "Wonder
Years" pal Dan Lauria), which she wrote, directed,
and produced in 2001. She broke her innocent girl image
"sort of" appearing in the German film "Good
Neighbor" in (2001) as the schoolgirl Molly Wright. Then again in the even hottier
film "Sex
and the Teenage Mind" in (2002) and as Debbie and
the as yet un-seen flick "Black Hole"
2002.
Steadly landing roles in TV with many guest
spots on a variety of TV shows. like: "NYPD Blue" 2005, "Justice League" 2002, "The West Wing" 2002-2003, and "The Division" 2001. Danica keeps very busy in
2002 and 2003 with various projects leaving no opportunity
unchecked. She certainly has grown up to be every bit as
sexy and smart as you thought Winnie Cooper would've grown up to be,
if not more so. Remarkably she still easily pulls off convincing roles of a innocent teenager.
Danica
determined to break that good girl stereo-type her self proclaimed "rite of passage" sees her Stuff Magazine girly debut as a lovely lingerie model teasing readers in the
hot July 2005 Stuff photoshoot, in which she made the cover. Coyly quoting lines like: "I'm not shy, there's
nothing unclassy about being naked." and "I
love surprises, champagne and strawberries,
all that pampering, romantic stuff. Guys ought to
know how to pamper their women properly." Indeed, she cetianly
has changed that good little girl persona of
years ago. Not
afraid to be nude Danica's alluring sex symbol status has definite possiblilities. As yet sadly, we can still only hope for
more hot naughty girl roles in the 31 year olds future for 2006. So far she's been working on a Kids TV show as Maddie Monroe in the "Inspector Mom" TV Series. Starring Danica Mc Kellar soccer practice and murder go together like apple pie and vanilla ice cream.

QUOTES
"I learned my French through school. I was lucky in
that the tutor on the Wonder Years set spoke fluent French."
"My
main concern with the condition of mathmatics in high school
is that there's a lot of fear involved! Math is not, generally
speaking, presented in a fun way. The concepts, as I see
them, ARE fun, and that's the way I'd like to convey them
myself."
"When
I originally entered UCLA, I had planned to go for a film
major, but I kept finding myself taking math classes for
fun,
cause I missed them from high school!"
"I'm
not shy there's nothing unclassy about being naked."
"Ive
never even taken pictures in a bathing suit!
Its a rite of passage; Im not a little girl
any more."
"I
love surprises, champagne and strawberries,
all that pampering, romantic stuff. Guys ought to
know how to pamper their women properly."
