Born Jamie Lynn Sigler on May 15, 1981 in Jericho New York, she had a natural desire to perform, the lovely half Cuban and Greek starlet has been acting and singing since the age of 7. Her mother, Consuela (Connie) Lopez, is a Cuban immigrant and her father, Steve Sigler, is of Sephardic descent, her parents originally came from Romania and Greece, respectively. Her father is president of an amateur baseball league and she grew up with her two older brothers, Adam and Brian Discala in suburban NYC.

Jamie got her acting start in New York regional theater, and has since starred in over two dozen theatrical productions. In 1989, she made her stage debut at age 8 in a local regional theater production of Rodgers and Hermmerstein's "The Sound of Music." Later she performs in productions of Annie, The Wizard of Oz, The Wiz, and Gypsy. She attended Jericho Senior High School in Jericho, NY in 1995 and graduated in June 1999. Her first TV role came with a small part in the film A Brooklyn State of Mind in 1997. Finally when graduating in June 1999 she was voted class thespian. After high school she was accepted to famed NYU University, where she had planned to major in psychology. [1999] Took a leave of absence from NYU in November 1999, and never returned.

Jamie landed the break out role of her career as the young Meadow Soprano orgianlly in 1997. She auditioned for the role shooting a pilot when she was only sweet 16, long before the show was aired on HBO begining in 1999. Once production got started and HBO actually bought the series they started producing more pilot episodes. After the first 6 were complete the producers origianally wanted to replace Jamie's character with a blonde girl. Behind the scenes the real reason was that Jamie hd a eating disorder. When she returned she had to prove she was ok even after her mother begged producers not to fire her. This was eventually deamed to expensive and she continued in the series. She went on to star on the Sopranos from 1999-2006, her character trys to have a normal teenage life as a New Jersey crime boss (Tony Soprano's) daughter.

Eventually by the end of Season 1 the 18 year old Jamie (Meadow Soprano) shares her first on screen kiss with her Dominican boyfriend who slips her the tongue while kissing her during the scene. (Which is not done usually) In the following season her character rebels against her parents and eventually moves into her college dorm room as the series progresses. Of all the lovely woman who have appeared on the show, her character is certianly the most innocent and by far the most desirable.

Using her new found Soprano sex appeal to her advantage the young Jamie Lynn next poses in a hot Maxim Magazine photo shoot dispelling any "I'm not that innocent" rumors. Playfully she forgets most of her clothes in 2001 sexy Bond girl style photoshoot seen HERE. She does remember to bring her golden bikini and a naughty girl sex me up look. Suddenly little "Meadow Soprano", erm I mean Jamie, becomes a top 100 FHM hottie.

After that Sopranos first season Jamie got herself a new manager (A.J. Discala). The young 19 year old actresses career seems bright as the show becomes a huge success. By the end of season 2 Jamie and her manager AJ are very close freinds. Behind the scenes a love affair is brewing between her new manager AJ who's interrested in more than just Jamie's career. Jamie's short history has been a series of short term puppy love relationships with boyfriends from highschool. Jamie eventually falls for her 10 years older boyfriend / manager. Later she admits that they never had a physical relationship for more than a year. Which lead you to believe that AJ was working on Jamie for some time and that she prolly wasn't "going all the way" until she was married. (aka Jessica Simpson and Nick Latchey) In 2002 the two are engaged while vacationing on a Labor Day cruise in Mexico. When they return they surprise everyone annoucing there plans for marriage the following year.

She made her Broadway debut, starring as Belle in Disney's Broadway production of Beauty and the Beast in October of 2002 through February 2003. Years before, she publicly admitted to having struggled with anorexia and exercise addiction for most of her life. She later appeared in an episode of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" (1986) where she discussed how she almost became anorexic after her boyfriend broke up with her. She is now a spokeperson for the National Eating Disorders Association (www.nationaleatingdisorders.org). She explains, "I went public with my eating disorder because I wanted to make some good come of this terrible episode in my life. I want to reach young girls and let them know that there is a way out; there is help available. No one should have to suffer in silence." Jamie probably draws her strength and determination from years ago when, she was paralyzed from the waist down for several days with the rare Lyme Disease. Her recovery has since given her a fresh outlook on her work and her life.

In 2003 they marry in a lavious Jul 14, ceremony Sigler and Discala tie the knot at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden in NY, surrounded by bouquets of roses, candles and white balloons to distract the paparazzi. Attended by family, friends and members of the Sopranos clan, reportedly including Edie Falco, Robert Iler, Aida Turturro, Dominic Chianese, Tony Sirico and John Ventimiglia, were in attendance at the twilight ceremony. Iler, who plays Sigler's onscreen brother, was duly protective of his HBO costar at the time.

By 2003, the budding young starlet was also looking at her future in Hollywood but had few offers in hand. She appeared in unknown film Campfire Stories (2001). Later between Soprano shooting schedules and a long hiatus between 2003 seasons Jamie would appear in two films. This Girl's Life (Unrated Version) and as sexy girl #3 in Death of a Dynasty (2003).

First she co-starred in the comedy feature film "Extreme Dating" with Devon Sawa, Amanda Detmer and Andrew Keegan.

The young hottie newly wed now Jamie Lynn Discala coyly appears on the cover of FHM magazine in April 2004. Kicking off a hot breakout starring role in the Heidi Fleiss movie Call Me: The Rise and Fall of Heidi Fleiss. UNRATED Although some of the nude scenes were performed by a body double this is certianly her hottest flick to date. During filming she was so uncomfortable about some of the scenes in the film she left the set in tears. Despite this she gives a sexy hot Heidi Fleiss and does Heidi prolly too much justice. Just before the release of the film Jamie's photos hit the covers of FHM Magazine. This time in in an even hottier type photoshoot.

Beyond Sopranos, Jamie has been busy making a name for herself further distancing her from the young innocent "Meadow" Soprano stereotype. She completes another feature film, Extreme Dating (2003). She also starred in the recent Mariah Carey video for the pop diva's latest single, "Through the Rain." in the summer, she then starred in the touring production of Rodger's and Hammerstein's Cinderella, playing the lead opposite Eartha Kitt as her fairy godmother.

Then the barely 22 year old hottie soprano is married in July of 2003, to her manager (12 years older) A.J. Discala. The couple had been semi secretly dating for 2 years and announced their engagment in 2002. Jamie's previous relationships had never lasted more than a few weeks, so this was really her first real boyfriend basically. The actress met DiScala, 34, at a basketball game. The pair dated for two years before getting married July 11, 2003, at a splashy outdoor wedding before hundreds of guests at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden in NYC. Unfortunately after the first hot and sweaty year of thier marriage wore off, the couple later separated and by 2005 they are divorced shortly there after.

She still currently stars as Meadow Soprano in the now critically acclaimed HBO original series, "The Sopranos" (1999-2006). She recently publishes her revealing autobiography, Wise Girl (Pocket Books) to rave reviews. In the season 5 finale she is seen HERE in a hot strip tease scene. Her character may or may not be directly involved with the finale of the series. The "Meadow" character hasn't exaclty been sexually racey or daring up to this point. In fact her character on the show now studies law and is an ACLU wanna be of sorts. Working as a legal aide for the cash poor victims in the american judicial system. Wheather this will factor into a dramatic rico case Soprano finale' would be an easy guess.

In 2006 Jamie appears again in Maxim magazine in the may issue. This time leaving a lot more to the imagination in photos seen HERE . This usually precedes the release of a film and she recently completed work on "It's Under My Skin" in (2006) but only has a supporting type role. Currently she is shooting Sopranos episodes and filming "I Remember" where she will star in this horror flick as Angela.
