Milica Natasa Jovovic was born December 17th, 1975 in Kiev, Ukraine in the former Soviet Union, the daughter of Russian stage actress Gallina Loginova and Yugoslavian (now known as Serbia) born pediatrician Bogie Jovovich. Incredibily when Milla was only 2 years old she was brought to a hospital with a fever and cold, when milla's condition worsened her mother complained and was told to relax by doctors. Frantically her mother snatched her up and brought her to another hospital. She was soon diagnosed with Meningitis and doctors saved her life more or less in the nick of time. The family lived in Keiv for the next fews years, when Jovovich was five years old (1980), her family emigrated to Sacramento, CA. She started first grade in the United States and picked up english watching television. By the time Milla was 9 years old she was modeling.

Already a startling beauty at age 11, Jovovich began pursuing an acting career; when her photograph reached the offices of the Prima modeling agency Milla was only 12 years old, a somewhat different career path in modeling emerged. Her first cover, for the 13 year old Milla on the cover of Italian Lei MagazineItalian fashion magazine Lei, and a six-page fashion spread shot by Herb Ritts for a French fashion magazine, catapulted the young, barely-trained model to the top ranks. During her first year, she'd done 15 fashion covers and countless other shoots, still managing the time for her studies including the training necessary for runway work and, like any L.A. teen, to "hang out at the mall." Having gained international fame, Milla decided to focus upon her original acting goals.

She made her big screen debut in 1988's Two Moon Junction as the younger sister of Sherilyn Fenn, and she also starred in a Disney Channel fantasy feature, Night Train to Kathmandu, as the daughter of two archeologists, who befriends a magical prince.

Her first starring role was 1991's "Return to the Blue Lagoon", a seqeul to the hot Brooke Sheilds movie. This film really got her noticed in Hollywood and offers poured in. At 14, she was featured in Richard Attenborough's Chaplin, as Mildred Harris, the first wife of the pioneering film comedian and director. That same year she also starred opposite Christian Slater in Kuffs where she plays a girlfriend who still is in college and is pregnant. George Kuffs her boyfreind didn't finish high-school, and just lost his job.

A brief role in Richard Linklater's high school comedy Dazed and Confused followed. Though her screen-time was brief, the role was her singing debut, as the character gave an a capella rendition of a few lines from Jovovich's own composition The Alien Song. A hot off screen romance developes during filming between her and actor Shawn Andrews. After filming she elopes at age 15 with her co-star boyfreind in the film Shawn Andrews in 1992 to Las Vegas. Since Milla was only 16 at the time, her mother had the marriage annulled.

A student of voice and piano since a very early age, Jovovich bought her first electric guitar at the age of 13 and was eagerly receptive when approached by an agent from SBK Records. At the age of 15, Jovovich set to work writing songs for her first album, but was surprised to learn that the label wanted to package her as a pop diva, working with other writers and arrangers. With the help of her friend Chris Brenner, the teen engaged in a battle with the label that eventually resulted in the release of Milla: The Divine Comedy on EMI Records in 1994 -- her own songs, recorded her own way, and hailed by such music industry giants as Rolling Stone magazine. Putting aside her acting and modeling careers, Jovovich pursued a strenuous tour schedule through the remainder of 1994 and the start of 1995.

Milla was preparing to enter the studio to begin work on her second album when the opportunity to star in The Fifth Element arose. This was her first movie offer in more than 3 years. On the completion of principal shooting, Milla returned to modeling for a handful of plum assignments, and had started work on her second album for release in late 1997 the same year the movie was released.

Basically at the wrap party for the movie "The Fifth Element" Milla marries Luc Besson the director of the film in 1997. The couple next works together the next 2 years on Luc's next film "Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc." Written and directed by Luc the film stars Milla as Joan and is released in 1999 but doesn't enjoy widespead screening despite being a great version of the french revolutionary martar. Unfortunatly by 1999 the 2 year relationship between Milla and Luc is over, they are divorced in 1999. Milla continues acting in films
Million Dollar Hotel, The and Claim, The by the end of 2000. Also early in 2001 in comedy Zoolander as the hotttie russian dominatrix.

Milla's biggest film success to date comes in the unlikely Movie "Resident Evil" a sci-fi thriller where shes stars as an ass kickin zombie terminating honey named Alice. Milla begins dating the director on the set Paul W.S. Anderson and the two are engaged in 2003.
Then 28 year old Milla continues modeling as an international spokesmodel for L'Oreal. She can also be seen in ads for Donna Karan & DKNY and Giorgio Armani in 2003.

In 2004 Milla appears again in the sequel to Resident Evil. "Resident Evil: Apocalypse" in 2004 she is back cappin more zombie ass. Looking more sexy badass than ever this persona will define her movie roles in the next few years.

Milla poses for Maxim Magazine in 2004 with some of her sexyist photos ever. A hot new bikini line with switsuits designed for Milla's hot little frame reaches consumer counters in the summer of 2004. Milla's insatiable desire for skimpier is better is her motto during this campaign.

In 2005 she is set to star in several films, Fade Out , .45. Milla and "Ultraviolet" crashed into theaters in March 3, 2006 and is now out on DVD along with Aeon Flux the beginning of this story. Yes ! there will be a Resident Evil 3 Resident Evil: Afterlife. Filming Now !
