Scooby-Doo

Scooby was the hero of the show and has become one of the most beloved cartoon dogs in TV history. The cowardly canine always seemed to save the day in every episode. Scooby was Shaggy's partner in helping him eat hamburgers, pizzas, hot-dogs and whatever else was edible and non-edible (like the witches laundry). He's a large Great Dane and must be coaxed into scary situations with the promise of a Scooby Snack. Once in trouble, Scooby can usually get out of the situation by using his acting abilities. He often tries to fake his way out of scary assignments, but usually ends up dressed in some funny costume to help the gang solve the mystery. Shaggy

Shaggy was by far the most entertaining character on the show (maybe second to Scooby). Shaggy and Scooby were usually the bait to catch the villian(s) and he occasionally stumbled across a clue or trap door by accident. His wimpish crys, groovy 70's clothes, silly ways to get away from villians and bottomless stomach have created a cartoon character that will never be matched and have the same comical effect. Shaggy gets his nickname from his scruffy appearance. "Super Teen" is Shaggy's favorite comic book hero. Shaggy has a sister named maggie she is very pretty and un-shaggy like. ALWAYS hungry, he would rather dive into a table of food than a new case. He often finds himself competing with Scooby for available food. They basically have the same table manners and Shaggy loves dog food apparently. Although he never wants to be a part of a mystery, he always does his part or can be bribed with food on every investigation. After Shaggy left Mysteries, Inc., he became pizza cook. Shaggy now weighs more than 400 lbs and owns a Chucky Cheese.

Freddy

Full Name: Fred Jones Age: never revealed Likes: Daphne, finding a clue, Solving Mysteries, the mystery machine. Dislikes: When Shaggy and Scooby mess up "THE PLAN", running out of scooby snacks or when Daphne has a headache. Talents : Fred, Fearless leader of the gang Mysteries, Inc. very cleaver and resourceful. Expert trap builder and criminal meddler. Instantly able to find the mystery in any given situation. Freddy led the gang and always wanted to investigate the strange haunted, spooky and mysterious places when the Mystery Machine broke down. Usually he would always pair himself with Daphne (of course) which has developed many romantic rumors among Scooby-Doo critics and fans alike. Freddy also created those amazing traps that almost always failed towards the end of the show. Fred and or Velma also almost always came up with a plan to catch the villain. When ever they decide to pursue the villain Fred orders the gang to split up. If Scooby turns chicken, Fred always has some motivating Scooby Snacks up his sleeve. After Fred left Mysteries, Inc., he became a mystery writer.

ma Velma

Full Name: Velma Dinkley Age: never revealed Likes: Shaggy, Finding a big clue and saying "This might be a clue", not losing her glasses. Dislikes : When somebody else take her line "This might be a clue", shaggys eating habits. Especially hates losing her glasses. Talents : Velma, kind the science and chemistry brains of the show. Help freddy making traps. Helped solve mysteries. Clearly the smartest person on the show. Speaks a dozen languages. Video Clip HERE

Velma is the only cartoon character known that can speak every language in the world. She was very intelligent and helped put together the clues to solve the mysteries with freddy. Despite her obvious IQ, she always seemed to lose her glasses in every show. She would always find them at the last second or one of the gang would be carrying an extra pair for her (conveniently). Velma was sometimes paired with Shaggy (possible boyfreind) and Scooby which mostly proved to be very comical. Velma's uncle, who taught her how to read pictographs is a professor. She also knows more professors around the world than anyone it would seem. Velma can lure Scooby into a mystery with her famous phrase, "Would you do it for a Scooby Snack?" When Velma left Mysteries Inc., she went to work for NASA.

Daphne

Full Name: Daphne Blake Age: never revealed Likes: Fred, horses, holding hands, saying "jeepers", posing, not being kidnapped. Dislikes: The Villain, breaking a nail, non groovy people, getting her hair wet. Talents: Daphne, Look sexy and/or damsel in distress. Getting lost or kidnapped. Daphne (AKA Dangerprone Daphne) is basically the sexy rich girl of the show. She was usually the one to get caught by the villians or mess up the traps that Freddy or Velma invented. Her father is very wealthy and she is the one responsible for the Mystery Machine, and all the other things that look expensive. Including many of the haunted mansions in some of the episodes. She would occasionally stumble across a clue and look pretty likely saying "jeepers." Daphne's Uncle Maxwell is a director of Hollywood horror movies. Another note about daphne is that she can almost always be seen with her hands on her hips. She must have picked that up from finishing school. After Daphne left Mysteries, Inc., she became a actress in hollywood.
